The Division 3 and Division 4 levels are ideal levels for new referees to gain experience. It's important for coaches and parents to understand that many referees are still learning.
Referee judgement calls are non-disputable. We ask that participants and spectators refrain from disrupting games to challenge calls. It is not acceptable to belittle, yell, or threaten referees or to use foul language at youth soccer games. Coaches are responsible for maintaining control of their spectator sidelines.

Many referee complaints can be regarding rules. Be sure to read over the HYSA and STYSA exceptions to the FIFA rules, as well as the available coach information to ensure your own knowledge of game rules and HYSA policies and procedures.
